A Night of Science and Fun
In Dallas, PA, Misericordia University recently hosted its vibrant “Boom in the Night” event, drawing in families for an evening of scientific wonder on October 23. Organized by the Dead Alchemist Society, the university’s chemistry club, the event transformed the campus into a lively hub of interactive science activities.
Interactive Science Stations
Attendees, both young and old, engaged with various hands-on science stations. Activities included crafting slime, creating color-changing potions, and witnessing the famous “puking pumpkins” – a demonstration that delighted the crowd with its foamy spectacle.
Engaging and Educational
The event aimed to make science accessible and enjoyable. Faculty from the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department collaborated with students to design experiments that were both educational and entertaining.
Students from the College of Arts and Sciences led the activities, ensuring safety and encouraging participation. The evening was filled with Halloween-themed music, glowing decorations, and treats, creating a festive learning environment.
